Apex Legends new Unshackled Event brings back Flashpoint
The next in-game event for Apex Legends, called Unshackled, was announced by EA and Respawn Entertainment. The first phase of this event will start next week. It will last from April 19 to May 3. The event will include new skins for Valkyrie and Crypto.
Apex Legends is a game that has already hosted a number of events. Some major events take place every year. The Unshackled event is bringing back some fan-favorite features while also introducing new ones. It’s too soon to tell whether the occasion will be well received, but it appears promising.
Flashpoint is back in the Unshackled Event
There is no doubt that Apex Legends events are the best when they add new Limited Time Modes (LTMs) or bring back fan-favorite ones. This was confirmed when many players wanted Control to be a permanent mode. For now, they can look forward to playing Flashpoint again but on Olympus this time.
In the Flashpoint LTM, there will be no healing items in Apex Legends. This means that players will have to fight in order to heal. The size of the Flashpoints is what makes this LTM different from other modes. Players can expect these areas to be very busy and full of action. If players want to find an unoccupied Flashpoint, they will have to be lucky. These areas won’t stay empty for long.
New Cosmetics from the Apex Legends Unshackled Event
This event is interesting because it has two reward tracks. Most events have only one track. Players will be able to progress one track from April 19 through April 26. This track will lead to an Epic Seer Skin. The second track will be open from April 26 to May 3. Players who complete this track will receive the Unshackled Pack (though there is also a fantastic Boxing Nessie Holospray along the way).
Aside from that, there is a standard selection of benefits, including 40 event-themed cosmetics. The big winners here are Crypto, Pathfinder, Wraith, and Valkyrie with the CAR, Hemlock, Peacekeeper, and Rampage getting love on the weapon side.
Players who were curious about whether or not heirloom items would be available for Apex Legends characters should know that there is no mention of any such items. The event screen is getting updated, so we can expect new content and events in the near future.
Apex Legends is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. There is also a mobile version available in some regions.
