The Witch Queen Trailer is full of lore and easter eggs

The Witch Queen has been presented as the next Destiny 2 expansion since 2021. The eponymous Witch Queen, Savathun, is a sibling of the God of War and The Taken King from Destiny 2. The Witch Queen expansion for Destiny 2 is the sixth in the series and will add a slew of fresh features, including new weapons, raids, gear, and a new area to explore – Savathun’s Throne World.

In the original Destiny, the Taken King was given his own expansion, in which players fought to repel the Taken King’s rampage of death and devastation. The Witch Queen, which is going to release soon, will have even greater danger.

The new trailer, which was posted on the Destiny 2 YouTube channel, shows how the player will need to find Savathun in order to recover the Light, which she had stolen from the Vanguard.

The Witch Queen taunts players, telling them that this suffering is only a game to her, and shows off much of the new content and challenges they will encounter.

The trailer has received a favorable response from gamers, with many claiming it to be one of the finest that Bungie has ever produced.

What is most remarkable, though, is that the trailer makes references and easter eggs to events that were previously referenced in the existing Destiny universe.

In the final mission of the Season we hear, “The Chosen One” the trailer alludes to the ultimate mission in the Season of the Lost, during which you team up with Mara Sov to help exorcise Savathun’s worm. “and worms were featured throughout the trailer, as expected”.

There were also hints that the Scorn, a group of ex-Fallen outlaws, may appear in The Witch Queen add-on since such locations feature Darkness architecture. People who like Destiny 2 are very excited about the new content that is coming.
