On Thursday, PlayStation updated the release date for Stray in a video posted to Twitter. The game had previously been scheduled to launch in early 2022, which technically qualifies as a soft delay now – but at least we know what to expect this summer.

Stray will be released on PS5, PS4, and PC after two years since it was first announced at the PS5 reveal event, when it was expected to come out in 2021.

Stray is a game developed by BlueTwelve Studio in the south of France and published by Annapurna Interactive. We already have an idea what Stray is about, how it feels to play, and most importantly, when it’ll be released thanks to a few trailers. Xbox owners will be disappointed since this is only PS4/PS5 and PC release.

“Our goal is to create a unique experience playing as a cat,” – Developer BlueTwelve

But this isn’t your average house cat, as the players control the kitty as it explores a robotic cybercity and tries to return home using a drone called B-12.

Since the initial reveal, little has been said from BlueTwelve Studios, only revealing more information about the game in July 2021 when news of a delayed release date to spring 2022 was released.

Stray is currently available on Steam and its official website. It’ll be available in the summer of 2022.
