Sony Xperia has been chosen as the Official Devices for PUBG Mobile.

PUBG Mobile has teamed up with Sony’s Xperia smartphone brand. This means that Xperia phones are the official phones for PUBG Mobile. For typical players, this doesn’t mean much. However, for professional gamers, it does have some advantages.

Sony is going to provide Xperia devices that are the latest and greatest to professional esports teams. It is not clear if the players will only have these devices for the duration of the event. But at the very least, this deal ensures that they will be using Sony devices during competitions.

Having all professional team players use the same type of device helps to make the game more fair. No team has an advantage because one player has a different device. This is not always the goal of collaboration, but it is a result of it.

Xperia is partnering with PUBG Mobile to hold global tournaments in 2022.

Sony Xperia has been named the global tournament’s official partner. This means that they will continue to be a sponsor for the tournaments in 2022. However, this does not mean that they are the sponsors for every single authorized tournament. PUBG Mobile may have a new device sponsor by 2023 and beyond.

In 2022, Sony Xperia will have an impact on two worldwide competitions. The first is the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. However, the details about the mid-year competition have not been released by Krafton yet.

But Why Sony?

Sony just felt right, according to PUBG Mobile’s Global Esports Director James Yang. PUBG Mobile Esports always puts the player experience first. Sony Xperia devices also meet this requirement by allowing players to display “even greater performance” during competitions.

Sony is a company that has been involved in the gaming industry for a long time. Even though they don’t make gaming phones, their flagship Xperia phones still have very powerful mobile hardware. So it makes sense for them to partner with a gaming company.
