Marvel Entertainment and Motive Studio have joined forces to create an all-new Iron Man video game
EA is collaborating with Marvel to develop a brand-new single-player Iron Man game, the company revealed on Tuesday. Motive Studio, which is also working on the anticipated Dead Space reboot, is developing the game.
This new Iron Man title is described by EA as an “all-new single-player, third-person, action-adventure” Iron Man video game with “an original narrative that taps into the rich history of Iron Man, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man.”
The new game is presently in preproduction, so we may have to wait a bit before we can play it. The development team is helmed by Olivier Proulx, who worked on Square Enix’s well-received Guardians of the Galaxy game earlier this year.
This Iron Man project is only one of several Marvel video games currently in development, including an unidentified game featuring Black Panther and Captain America, the card battler Marvel Snap, as well as the strategic game Midnight Suns from the X-COM creators. At its latest games expo, Disney provided peeks of all of these games and more. EA also teased “many new” Marvel games in their blog post unveiling the new Iron Man game on Tuesday.
