Breaking: 14-year-old boy hooked to Free Fire committed suicide.
In Central Mumbai’s Hindmata area on Sunday, a 14-year-old boy committed suicide. The death is being investigated to see if anything in the game prompted him to take such a drastic step.

The boy, a class 7 student, was addicted to Garena Free Fire, a popular battle royale mobile game that was banned by the Indian government Monday.

According to the police, the youngster’s father, who worked as a designer for a private construction business, received a call from his son at 7:22 p.m. on Sunday. He couldn’t receive the call while driving with his wife, so he tried again after a few minutes and received no answer.

The parents arrived home to discover that the room was locked from within. The father broke the glass frame above the door and opened it to find his son had committed suicide. The body was taken to KEM Hospital for an autopsy, and Bhoiwada police were notified.

The boy was addicted to Free Fire online game, but what exactly pushed him over the edge is still a mystery”, said Vijay Patil, deputy commissioner of police for zone 4.

The mother and schoolmaster, on the other hand, stated that the boy did not display any symptoms of gaming addiction and was a bright student who liked cricket.

The online game he was obsessed with needed to be played in groups,” an officer explained. “So we’re investigating who his friends were and who his co-players in the game were so that we can see if anything untoward happened during the game that compelled him to take this extreme action.”

The police have handed his cell phone to a lab for examination. The authorities are also looking at all of his phone calls and internet surfing activity. Another officer said that he spent the majority of his time on the internet, browsing websites connected to the online game and cricket in particular.

We will not get the boy’s gaming activity information until we contact the game server in Singapore, DCP Patil added. Breaking: 14-year-old boy hooked to Free Fire committed suicide

The parents of the missing boy were devastated. They said that their “prince had gone,” and they were desperate to get him back, according to a local news report. Jitendra Pawar, the senior inspector of Bhoiwada police, added: There was no note from the youngster discovered. Nothing crucial from his conversations with his friends. “We’ve filed an accidental death report and are investigating the case further,” the DCP stated.
