The Gunk Is Now Available On Steam
The Gunk is now available for PC gamers via Steam. To celebrate the release, the publisher released a new accolades video showcasing the game’s highlights. Furthermore, Thunderful revealed that the PC version of The Gunk is now available.
The game also adds a second photo mode, which includes post-production photo modifying capabilities such as depth of field, exposure, the field of view, and the ability to apply filters like “noir,” “sepia,” “cartoon,” and more. The PC version will support numerous languages as well, including Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, and Russian.
In The Gunk, you play as Rani, one half of a space-hauling team that discovers a seemingly uninhabited planet infested with an unknown unusual substance known as “the gunk.” With this strange find, Rani and her partner Becks wonder if their days of scraping for resources to make ends meet are over.
The Gunk offers a lot of exploration, with a fantastic and varied alien world to discover, ranging from rocky canyons to dense jungles to deep subterranean caverns (this is the team behind SteamWorld after all), as well as a few more surprises.
The goo is killing all of these sections, but as you remove it with Rani’s upgradable Goo-Sucking Power-Glove, you’ll discover a flourishing ecosystem seemingly suppressed by this strange and harmful gunk.
The Gunk is available on the Microsoft Store for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC since December 16, 2021
