Find your reference pillar in the first room once you enter the Pyramid.

If you’ve already figured out how to spawn the chest, scroll down for the symbols room locations. To spawn the extra chest after defeating Rhulk, you must first discover and remember the symbols that may be seen on a reference pillar. The reference pillar is placed immediately after the payload encounter, as you approach the Pyramid. Enter the vast room with the grass and steps going up the back. Run through the center to cause a pillar to appear with three symbols on it. Find the three rooms where those symbols appear and activate them.

Shoots to activate a symbol, which will appear. You can shoot the incorrect symbol again to turn it off (chest won’t appear if the incorrect symbol is on). When you successfully light three correct symbols in a row, the sign will be locked, vanish, and an on-screen message will tell you: “The Disciple recognizes your offering…”

Vow of the Disciple symbol rooms

There are several symbols throughout the Vow of the Disciple raid. You just have to discover the rooms for any symbols you saw on your reference pillar. The rooms appear before and after encounters, as well as during the jumping puzzle sections.

Pyramid

Immediately after the big fall, turn to find the door.

After the payload, you’ll go into the Pyramid and fall down a steep slope. When you land, look for a door with a Crux beside it on your left. Shoot the crux to unlock the door, which leads to the Pyramid sign.

Give

Look for the Crux in the ceiling of the frozen slab room just before Acquisition encounter.

A room with large frames with frozen bodies will appear after the chamber with all the symbols (and before the Obelisk encounter). Another door with the Crux on top of it will be across from where you entered. The Give logo is on the inside.

Darkness

Inside the Acquisition arena, near the Sphinx.

The Sphinx is located in the Acquisition area, where the Obelisk encounter takes place, on the left side. Do not begin the encounter. Instead, climb up to the Sphinx and fire a Crux between its feet. A door will appear to the side of the Sphinx. This chamber contains the Darkness sign.

Traveler

The Crux is up above the door in the room with the red cubes.

Continue through the rooms until you come to a room with red-tinged walls due to the presence of two cubes on black pillars. A locked door will be at the other end of the chamber. To find the Traveler symbol, go up above the entrance to discover a beam of light. Shoot it and enter the chamber to discover the Crux.

Worship

The Crux is located to the left in the Caretaker final stand position, and the door is to the right.

The Worship symbol is near the Caretaker’s final stand. The Crux may be found on the left side of the screen when the Caretaker is defeated. On the far left of the chamber, there is a door on the right-hand side of the room. Once opened, this will provide entrance to Worship.

Light

After the Caretaker fight, you’ll have to jump across platforms. When you get to the first area where foes continuously appear and a Crux is needed to change platforms in and out, look for the Light symbol. There will be a marble monument with a white light above it, in an orange-red glow. The Light symbol is accessed via the door on the right side of the statue.

Stop

The Light sign is followed by the Stop sign. This one is down a long tunnel that can only be reached via several stationary beams and a concealed chamber with a hidden chest after leaping from numerous moving beams. There is a chamber full of enemies next to the chest with a hole in the floor. Drop down and kill the monsters, then fire the Crux to view the secret symbol within.

Guardian

Immediately after obtaining your loot and witnessing the Upending, head up the stairs on the left-hand side. On a ledge on the outside of the ruin, you’ll find the Crux. It’s located just behind where you found the last one. Backtrack to the staircase and shoot it.

Turn around and search for the door that is floating above the stairs after shooting the Crux. The arrow shows you where to begin and go.

Look behind the pillar to discover a door that leads to the Guardian symbol instead of going down the stairs.

Kill

The Crux is circled and floating above the gap.

The final battle is preceded by a brief encounter with the regular boss. You’ll scale a chasm with floors on both sides, culminating in a showdown with the main bad guy. Turn around at the top and fire the Crux that’s floating in the back of the chamber. Once you make it to the boss arena, look for a door on the top-right that will lead you through one of the first four levels. This is also where some Taken Centurions may be found.
