Magnus Carlsen, the 5-time world champion, faced Hikaru Nakamura, the four-time SCC (Speed Chess champion) now five-time, in the 2022 SCC Championship Match today.

The final of the Speed Chess Championship was played today, December 18, between Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen, with Nakamura winning by a narrow margin of 14.5:13.5. Three different time controls were used in the bullet games. Nakamura’s supremacy was shown in the 5+1 games with the lead of +4 right points right at start.
