Weapon Craft Glitch in Destiny 2: Legendary Weapons with Exotic Perks

Game-Breaking Glitch in Destiny 2

Destiny 2, like many dynamic online games, occasionally reveals intriguing quirks and exploits with each new update. With every season, Bungie introduces a fresh array of weaponry and armor, granting players the power to fine-tune their in-game strategies and style.

However, this influx of new gear also brings with it the potential for unexpected discoveries. Recently, the Destiny 2 community stumbled upon an exploit that allows Legendary weapons to harness the potency of Exotic weapon perks.

This revelation first surfaced on the Billibili video platform, later gaining traction through coverage by Cheese Forever. Swiftly, the Destiny 2 community rallied, eager to replicate this groundbreaking exploit. Their efforts proved successful.

Before diving into this endeavor, it’s crucial to note that, at present, this glitch exclusively applies to craftable exotic weapons. Examples include Osteo Striga, Dead Messenger, and Dead Man’s Tale. It’s imperative to craft new weapons, as the exploit does not function with previously crafted or reshaped weapons.

Activating the Weapon Craft Exploit: A Step-By-Step Guide

To initiate this exploit, lock your FPS to 30 to begin, then players must first select a craftable exotic weapon, found at the Relic in the Enclave. Noteworthy choices are the Osteo Striga or Dead Messenger. Then, swiftly switch the tab, utilizing the Up/Down keys, and choose the Legendary weapon onto which you desire to bestow exotic perks.

As an illustration, to imbue the Ikelos submachine gun with Osteo Striga’s Screaming Swarm intrinsic perk, begin by selecting Osteo Striga Exotic, then promptly switch to Ikelos. Bear in mind, this process may require several attempts to successfully replicate.

Watch this video for a detailed demonstration of how this custom-crafted weapon, featuring Forbearance with Dead Messenger’s Trinary Vision perk, performs in action.

Pushing the Boundaries: Mixing Legendary Weapon Frames

Surprisingly, this exploit extends further. By integrating different legendary weapon frames, players can achieve even more remarkable results. For instance, we merged the Imperial Decree Shotgun’s Aggressive Frame with the Ammit AR2 (Precision Frame) Auto Rifle.

Awaiting Bungie’s Response: The Impact on PvP and PvE

As of now, Bungie has not issued an official statement regarding this exploit. However, considering its profound influence on both PvP (Player versus Player) and PvE (Player versus Environment), we anticipate an announcement in the near future.
