Forza Horizon 5’s patch adds a PvP progression system to the game.
Forza Horizon 5 gets a large upgrade on March 29th, with several enhancements to multiplayer, including a new progression system and customizable racing option. Naturally, it adds a few highly coveted vehicles.
What’s New?
- A new progression system with Badges has been added to Horizon Open, which may be obtained by completing objectives in-game.
- This update adds support for custom racing to Horizon Open, which will allow players to join races based on their chosen race discipline and PI class.
- Fixed a few instances where the player may be left waiting longer than necessary in the post-race procedure.
Outside of the changes to PvP, the notes state that Series 6 is about player customization, so many of these modifications are geared toward making that aspect of the game more apparent to others.
- All over the world, there are tiny t-rexes and new collectible paint barrels for you to find.
- Every week, there will be two EventLab events.
- One Seasonal Championship with a unique shot taken by a member of the community
- Instead of regular Wheelspins, Seasonal PR Stunts will now offer Super Wheelspins.
- Tons of new items, including cars and cosmetics.
New Series 6 Update!
The game’s story continues with Series 6, with a brand-new Horizon Story focused on the ‘infamous’ Drift Club, which has several chapters across the game world. This is unlocked by completing the Series 6 Festival Playlist, which contains “multi-mile-long drifts, including real-world influences from well known drifting movies,” according to the page.
Forza Horizon 5 was our open-world game of the year in 2021, well deserved recognition for such a dense, intricate, and genuinely joyful setting to explore. Playground has maintained a steady frequency of free updates, which add new ways to play and little extras: the company also stated that the game’s first expansion will be revealed during this presentation.
