YouTube said they are working on the fix for the crashes and will update soon
YouTube has stated that it is working on a fix for issues that some users are experiencing when using the iOS app. It’s unknown how severe the issue is, and it appears to be impacting a large number of customers.bug
However, a considerably lesser proportion of Android and desktop browser users are also having trouble accessing the site’s videos. The issue has caused repeated crashes for iOS users after 20-30 seconds of browsing. Restarting the device or switching it off and on again does not appear to resolve the issue.
YouTube reported in a tweet from its own TeamYouTube account that “many” individuals are experiencing with crashes, and that many users are reporting outages straight on the app.
hi, we’re aware that many of you using the YouTube app on iOS devices may be experiencing crashes

As indicated by the real-time status monitoring Downdetector, it had reached around 7900 at the time this article was written. However, YouTube is not down – the huge majority of issues are caused by app users (75%), with only 9% caused by those accessing the site via a browser. Video streaming is also not working for 16% of users.
For those who are impacted, this is a frustrating issue, if you’re facing issues, try to use a browser rather than the app. Google has promised to provide updates “soon.” Hopefully, YouTube will be able to resolve the issue fast so that viewers may continue watching videos without interruption.
