Titanfall 3 may be Leaked, Pre-Orders Started at German GameStop

Titanfall 3 can allegedly be pre-ordered at GameStop retail stores in Germany, according to several individuals

Fans have been waiting for a long time for the release of Titanfall 3, with some even wondering if the third game in the popular series will ever come out. At least one shop, though, is suggesting that there may not be as much of a wait for Titanfall 3 after all.

There have long been reports that Respawn Entertainment is working on a Titanfall 3, but with the studio focused on Apex Legends support, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 development, and two other Star Wars games in development, it’s hard to imagine where it might find the time to build another one. With Apex Legends as popular as it is , there isn’t much sense in creating a third Titanfall game right now. Everything indicates that the game isn’t being developed, but a GameStop in Germany has not gotten the message.

Something rather unusual has been cropping up in GameStop shops across Germany in recent days. One Reddit user posted a photo of a placeholder box for Titanfall 3, and other users quickly chimed in, stating that they were given the option to preorder the game at several GameStops all over the country. Given that most individuals had assumed that Respawn’s work on the Star Wars video game universe meant no more Titanfall games, the ability to preorder the game has undoubtedly surprised some people.

Why are Germany’s GameStops the only ones announcing that Titanfall 3 is coming soon enough to justify preordering? It’s certainly possible that someone is attempting to gain a head start on the next installment if and when it is announced. There’s no indication that the store is informing consumers when they can anticipate receiving the product, after all.

So, what’s happening? There are a number of possibilities. It might be an accident. Alternatively, this may just be the GameStop store attempting to get ahead of the curve by looking into future. Neither of these reasons makes much sense, though. That said, it does not make sense for a German GameStop to know about Titanfall 3 early. GameStop is aware of upcoming games before their announcement; this has happened before. For the sake of pre-orders and marketing, big businesses are informed ahead of time about game announcements. However, these specifics aren’t usually shared with certain shops.

It’s still an odd move, given Respawn’s prior comments about the series. While Titanfall and its sequel are still quite popular among a certain portion of the video game community, Respawn appears to be going in the opposite direction with a new release, as it even took the extra step of removing the original Titanfall from online sales shelves. All fans can do now is keep their fingers crossed that this box art indicates something more rather than a mistake.

For the time being, accept everything you’ve read here with a grain of salt. It’s tough to know what should be done with this information until we get an official statement from EA, Respawn Entertainment, or Germany, so file it away in the same category as all of the other intriguing rumors and leaks.
