A GTA Online leaker claims that new stuff is on the way, but isn’t specific about what it may be, raising questions and anticipation.

Grand Theft Auto Online has altered the landscape of Los Santos and San Andreas considerably since its debut in 2013 as the multiplayer expansion of GTA 5. While some players appreciate the inclusion of things like flying cars and orbital strikes to break away from traditional Grand Theft Auto realism, a lot of people are still picking up Rockstar Games’ latest satirical open-world action adventure games. Grand Theft Auto 5 is still topping sales charts in 2022.

Grand Theft Auto 5’s next-gen versions have only added fuel to the fire, with more people seeking to access the game and its online mode. Even as Grand Theft Auto Online nears nine years since its debut, Rockstar has continued to provide free content updates to players in order to keep them interested. These upgrades occasionally include new activities or objectives to attempt within the world, such as the Heists update and the recent Contracts addition.

Fans have speculated that Rockstar will slow down the release of new updates for Grand Theft Auto Online in anticipation of GTA 6. However, according to a recent leak, more content is on the way for Grand Theft Auto Online. A leaker on Twitter announced that “something new for a change” would be appearing in Grand Theft Auto Online within the next two weeks or so. While this news didn’t provide any real information about what fans may expect to see over the next few weeks, there has been plenty of online discussion.

Considering that Grand Theft Auto Online has recently resurrected Franklin and included a cameo from Dr. Dre in the Contracts expansion, it appears that the game may provide fans anything at this point.

Some are ambitious with their predictions about what Rockstar may deliver next, believing a map extension is on the way for Grand Theft Auto Online. Others are less enthusiastic about the supposed upgrade, believing it could remove adversary mode and other entertaining features of the game.

Some of the comments on the leaker’s Twitter statement were considerably more daring than redesigning the map. One fan suggested that Grand Theft Auto Online could take advantage of the Deluxo, a automobile based on the DeLorean from Back to the Future, to provide players with a time traveling experience going all the way back to Red Dead Redemption’s era.
