Playing the role of Solomon Reed, Idris Elba enters the world of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty in 2023

At The Game Awards 2022, CD Projekt RED unveiled in the second trailer an interesting tidbit about Cyberpunk 2077’s upcoming paid DLC in 2023, Phantom Liberty, which will feature a huge addition to the crew: Idris Elba.

CD Projekt Red has already confirmed Elba’s role as Solomon Reed. As stated in a tweet from developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR), Reed is a seasoned New United States of America spy who, according to the studio, is “the only person players can trust to help them fulfill an impossible mission of espionage and survival.”

A little information about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC

We’re still not sure what the story is in Phantom Liberty, which CD Projekt bills as a “spy-thriller” expansion. The DLC, which was first unveiled in September, will see the return of V and Keanu Reeves reprise his role as Johnny Silverhand as the two are pushed into completing a deadly mission on behest of the New United States of America.

In an unexpected twist, the new video indicates that V and Johnny will seek the aid of a new character: Solomon Reed, a secret and mysterious government agent played by Idris Elba. The trailer also suggests that the expansion will take place in a previously unexplored region known as “Dogtown.”

The expansion will be accessible exclusively on next-generation consoles and PC when it launches around next year.
