EMPRESS has recently announced that she has successfully bypassed the protection of Hogwarts Legacy and released a crack. Despite taking longer than expected due to the game’s stronger-than-anticipated protection, she managed to break both Denuvo v17 and Steam defenses.

EMPRESS chose not to include the day 1 patch in the repack as it caused performance issues for some users. Originally, the hacker planned to break the game in 10 days, but it took her six beta stages which made the crack release longer due to the game’s stronger security measures.

Note: Empress offers cracked versions of games, piracy is still illegal and not condoned by many in the gaming industry. Gamer-VIP encourages purchasing games through official channels supports the developers and ensures the best gaming experience.

What is Denuvo DRM and Who is Hacker EMPRESS?

Empress cracks Denuvo DRM

To understand the significance of Hacker Empress and her actions, it’s important to have some context on DRM Denuvo and why it’s a contentious issue for gamers. Denuvo is a digital rights management service that aims to prevent unauthorized access and piracy of video games. While the intent to protect intellectual property is laudable, some players argue that Denuvo’s anti-piracy measures can negatively impact the gameplay experience of legitimate players.

DRM systems like Denuvo, which are designed to protect games from piracy, can negatively impact the performance and gameplay experience for paying customers. This has led to frustration among players, and in steps Empress, a talented and reportedly beautiful hacker who has made a name for herself by cracking these systems and making games available for free. While game developers have a right to protect their intellectual property, players who have paid for the game should not be forced to endure a subpar experience due to overbearing security measures. Empress sees her actions as a way to level the playing field and ensure gamers can enjoy the games they paid for without compromise.

Empress, a well-known hacker, has been battling the Denuvo DRM Security System for several years, as evidenced by her emergence in 2014. She has successfully broken through both the Steam Defenses and the Denuvo V17 security system that Hogwarts Legacy employs. Initially, Empress and other hackers aimed to crack the game within 10 days, but due to its stronger protection, the process took longer than anticipated.

When was Hogwarts Legacy Cracked?

On February 20, 2023, the first beta for a cracked version of the game was released by hacker Empress. Three days later, on February 23, a second patch was launched, allowing players to enjoy the game without paying for it. However, the cracked version was not yet completely stable, and Empress was still working on additional patches until now.

Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and has been a huge success, breaking multiple player base records on Steam. Despite the controversy surrounding the game and calls for a boycott, it ended up taking first place in the weekly Steam charts, landing in the top 10 of the games with the biggest simultaneous online player count on Steam and becoming the biggest game release in Europe in the past 5 years.
