Epic Games Store announced that Paradigm and Just Die Already will be the free games replacing Amnesia: Rebirth and Riverbond
From April 28 to May 5, the Epic Games Store will offer free downloads of two more games: Paradigm, a trippy adventure game, and “old people mayhem sandbox game” Just Die Already.
They’ll take the place of horror game Amnesia: Rebirth and co-op adventure game Riverbond on April 28.
According to Epic Games, which made Unreal Engine 5 public this month, gamers claimed over 765 million freebies in 2021.
Epic also recently announced the completion of a new funding round in April, raising an additional $1 billion from Sony. The world’s second-largest toymaker, the Lego, is owned and run by KIRKBI (Holding & Investment Company Behind The Lego Group), which also invested $1 billion in Epic, an initiative meant to speed up the firms’ efforts in the kid-friendly metaverse sector.
Epic Games and Lego announced on April 7 that they had entered a long-term partnership “to define the future of the metaverse” to make it safe and enjoyable for children and families.
Sony already owned a small stake in Epic before investing $450 million in the Fortnite creator.
