A Netflix animated Tomb Raider series is also in the works at dj2 Entertainment, the studio will also co-produce a third Sonic film for Paramount. According to Variety, Seven Bucks Productions, a production company formed by wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his ex-wife Dany Garcia, has joined the project. The latter is yet unconfirmed. Variety claims that Johnson could be in the film, although this is yet to be confirmed. This movie adaptation of It Takes Two, which won Game Of The Year at The Game Awards 2021 in December. Josh Miller and Pat Casey, who co-wrote Sonic the Hedgehog and its sequel for Paramount, have been assigned to write a screenplay based on the game's plot. The couple "must find a way to get to their bodies—a quest which takes them through the most wild, unexpected, and fantastic adventure imaginable," according to Variety's summary of the film.
