Highlights

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s most recent content update teases a collab with Destiny 2 and Monster Hunter Rise.
  • The collaboration might bring skins/sets inspired by Destiny and Monster Hunter to Valhalla and vice versa.
  • A well-known dataminer delved through the game’s most recent update and discovered armor sets largely influenced by Destiny and Monster Hunter.

Assassin’s Creed x Destiny 2 Crossover content datamined from AC Valhalla Last Update

Following the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update, it appears that someone succeeded to datamine the unreleased Destiny 2 and Monster Hunter armor sets from the game files. Saint-14, Lord Shaxx, Arc Staff, Dawnblade, as well as a Gjallarhorn-themed sword are among the Destiny 2 characters and armor pieces.

In the final update, fittingly titled “The Last Chapter”, Ubisoft has apparently decided to include crossover content between Valhalla as well as both Destiny 2 and Monster Hunter. These collabs take the shape of special outfits, which were made accessible through the game’s last update and disclosed by dataminers digging through forthcoming, unannounced content. Check the photos below:

According to the Chinese dataminer, all of the outfit and weapon data were taken from the code included in the most recent patch of the AC Valhalla, and they simply “extracted the code and put them into Cheat Engine (CE)”.

Bungie recently held its first crossover event with Epic Games’ Fortnite and Mediatonic’s Fall Guys as part of the Destiny 2 releasing on Epic Games. So, this will be Bungie’s third Destiny 2 collaboration. It’s unknown whether the collab will go both ways, and whether some Assassin’s Creed-themed stuff will land up in the Bungie multiplayer game.

There have been no public announcements from either side as of the time of writing. Following Bungie’s tradition of announcing seasons on the day of their game release, we’ll most likely learn more about this next Tuesday, when the next 19th season of Destiny 2 releases. There was also no indication of a crossover in the Assassin’s Creed games at the time.

Now that Valhalla’s tale has concluded, fans will be eagerly anticipating the release of the massive Assassin’s Creed roadmap, which starts with AC: Mirage.

Update: It’s Official now, Bungie tweeted that it’s partnering with Ubisoft, says “worlds are about to collide with brand new cosmetics.”
